The date of our next Church Board Meeting is Sunday, February 27th, 2022 starting after our worship service in the Church Hall. A member of the Pacific Mountain Region clergy will attend this meeting in the absence of our own Minister. While non-Board members cannot vote at these meetings, Church Board meetings are open to any member of our congregation who wishes to attend. This is a great opportunity to find out more about our church and how it operates. It is also a great chance to participate in conversations and ask questions.

All regular worship services scheduled for the immediate future will remain cancelled in the interest of the safety of all involved.
With what we know right now and with all of the advice we are hearing from our various levels of governments and health officials, it has been decided that all regional worship services including ours will probably remain cancelled through to theend of 2020 at the earliest.
This decision will be re-evaluated as more becomes known, and any updates will be put up on this website and the church online calendar as soon as possible. Stay safe everyone!
Here is the latest official Regional information from Rev. Blackert
The Region is in Phase 1 (different than the Provincial plan) of a plan toward reopening. Phase 1 is for no worship gatherings at this time. Phase 2 is a possibility in 2021. One of the considerations is the risk factor for congregants. Everyone at Zion is in the high-risk category.
They mentioned Living Springs United Church in Alberta. This congregation met on March 15th (the first Sunday we were suspended) and practiced all the safe social distancing, food etiquette instructions, etc. made available at the time. In the community of roughly 45 people, 24 contracted COVID, and 2 died. This is what everyone wants to avoid.
