UCW Service Summary of This Day’s Worship
This is the final week of Pentecost 1, a season when we have considered who we are and what we represent. Today’s scripture readings remind us that we are the people of God who act on God’s behalf in our world.
As people of faith, we are not those who hear and don’t act, nor those who speak but don’t act. The gospel is nothing, if it is just writing on a page, or unfulfilled speech. What we do matters. We are blessed when the words fly off the page and out of our mouths and become acts of love done by us, the people of God. In today’s worship, we celebrate God’s love for us and consider how we will “be love.”
